I absolutely love what I do. Building relationships with my patients and their families, watching them grow, and seeing how their personalities and smiles unfold over time is what I enjoy most. My daughter, Olivia, calls me a 'mommy dentist,' which makes me smile every time. It's a true pleasure to serve this community.
I was born and raised in the Washington, DC area and earned my biology degree with honors from the University of Maryland. Moving on to Harvard School of Dental Medicine, I graduated cum laude with my Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. Over the next few years, I completed my pediatric dental residency at Children's Hospital in Boston. Trained and ready to see my dream practice become a reality, I launched NOVA in 2006.
On our very first day seeing patients, a five-year-old named Chloe walked in, hopped on the chair, and told me, 'I want to be a dentist when I grow up.' Every Christmas after that, her mom emailed asking for age-appropriate 'dentist gifts' to fuel the dream. Chloe volunteered at our office in middle school, then returned as a high schooler and later a dental intern. She went to college, became president of the pre-dental club, took a gap year (just like I did), worked as a dental assistant, and today she's finishing up dental school.
Watching a child go from first visit to future colleague is why we do what we do.
I'm a mom of four and we're deeply rooted in Loudoun County. Most evenings you'll find us on the sidelines of football, soccer, or exploring new trails together. My husband, Mike, and I love traveling with our kids, cooking, and discovering culture through food. I recharge with running, hiking, and recovery habits like cold plunge and red-light sauna. Our dogs, Willow and Paisley, keep things lively. Family, faith, and community service shape how I lead and why I love this work.

It was a long educational journey, but I love what I get to do. I began by graduating magna cum laude with a degree in biology from Dickinson College where I was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa society. I went on to earn my Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.
After four years in Philadelphia, I moved to Boston for the Brigham and Women's Hospital/Harvard School of Dental Medicine general practice residency. Then it was on to New York to complete my orthodontic residency as chief resident at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Originally from Northwestern Pennsylvania, my love for the outdoors and desire for a more temperate climate led me to Northern Virginia. I'm board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics and proud to bring my expertise to the families in our community.

My husband and I were born and raised in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area. I attended the University of Virginia where I graduated with a degree in Biology. Then I went on to Yale School of Public Health to earn my Master of Public Health in Epidemiology of Microbial Disease. After a few years of working in public health research, my desire to work more directly with people led me to dentistry.
My dental education began at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine where I received my Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree. After graduation I returned to DC for residency at Children's National Medical Center, where I served as chief resident.
I am a board-certified pediatric dentist and active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Having worked at Nova Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics for my gap year prior to dental school, I am thrilled to return to such a warm environment and work alongside such dedicated clinicians.

After four years of braces, countless dental surgeries, and 24 extractions, I can certainly understand what patients go through. I’ve experienced firsthand the same range of emotions. That’s why my goal as a pediatric dentist is not only to alleviate pain, but to ease fear and worry while restoring each child's dental health.
Born and raised in the Northern Virginia, and a graduate of Centreville High School, I have known since middle school that I wanted to be a dentist.
I am an active member of the American Dental Academy (ADA), Northern Virginia Dental Society (NVDS), and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD). When not in the office, I love to spend my free time with my wife and our cat, Truffles. I enjoy all sports, especially soccer which I grew up playing.

Crafting beautiful smiles is my dream job and I feel extremely fortunate to be living out my dream. Orthodontics perfectly combines science, healthcare, and creativity in a way that allows me to leave a lasting impact on a child’s life. But, my path to orthodontics was anything but traditional.
I graduated from the University of Virginia with a major in Systems and Information Engineering, a field of study that I thoroughly enjoy and value. Then I put my data science and engineering skills to good use as a consultant at Deloitte. After working with federal, non-profit, and commercial clients for four years, I made the decision to pursue my orthodontic dreams and left to attend Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Dentistry.
My dental journey began with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Dentistry. From there, I went on to complete my Orthodontic Residency program at Tufts University
I love being home in the Northern Virginia/DC area, delivering orthodontics, and serving my local community. I also enjoy reading, exercising, eating, and spending time outdoors.
